Important Information
Check-in and Check-out Procedures
- Check-in is after 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
Property Access
- Deerview Cottage has living quarters above the 2 car garage.
- Guests do not have access to park inside the garage.
- Guests do not have access to the locked off portion of the Sportsman's Lodge, the Fitness Center, or the Wine & Cigar Bar. These are for member use only.
Policies and Rules
- No smoking allowed inside the home. No trace of smoking should be left outside the home.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy are allowed at any time. Keep outside noise at a respectable level.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person must sign the agreement and be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- This home is not pet friendly. No pets are allowed.
- Guests are not allowed to bring their own ATVs. For information about ATV rentals, visit: offroadadventuresnc.com
- Guests are responsible for supplying their own recreational equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, tennis equipment, etc.)
- No events allowed.
Fees and Payments
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- Eagles Nest Winery day passes are available onsite for $25.00 each.
- All homes with Eagles Nest access have an additional amenity fee in order to maintain the amenities.
- The summer concerts are open to all guests; however, there may be an admission fee for each person and cash bar for food and drinks.

- All visitors on premise at winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced.
- All Eagles Nest homes have internet, but some areas of travel may not have cell reception.
- Kitchens are stocked with cooking basics, utensils, a microwave/convection oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, and basic dishes & silverware. There is a starter set of paper products: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night or maybe two. Hair dryers are not provided. Towels and bed linens are provided.
Safety and Emergency Information
- The property uses three outdoor cameras: one by the gutter for the walkway to the front entrance, one at the entrance pointed towards new construction, and one in the garage. No cameras monitor the inside of the home.
Seasonal/Weather-Related Information
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March). Travelers visiting during winter months where inclement weather is possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle; chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Construction and Noise
- Please note that a new home is being built next to the home. Construction may be ongoing Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm.
- Eagles Nest is a developing community, with construction currently occurring in several neighborhoods. Construction noise may be heard from 7am-7pm Monday-Saturday.
Special Events and Community Policies
- The North Pavilion hosts several summer parties including a Fourth of July celebration and concerts. Guests are welcome to attend. However, in the event there is a wedding or other private party, guests are not allowed in or near the Sportsman's Lodge.
Cancellation Policy
- CANCELLATION POLICY: STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.
